It seems to me like you mixed the threads on the yahoogroups. Andrew Baron was posting on the thread that was about the VLOGGIES-style event in Amsterdam in February; he was NOT posting about VlogEurope. Re-read the e-mail: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/vlogeurope/message/945
But IF he was talking about VlogEurope, I would totally agree.
Thanks for the suggestions about VlogEurope. I agree that Budapest sounds like a really interesting city to do it in.

I realise you got your lesbian panties in a twist about Vlog Europe vs Vlogtasticunt or whatever the fuck it is, but I agree with you anyway!
Vlog Europe, which I’d love to attend again as long as I’ve got the time and money, was so refreshing because of what it wasn’t.
As for what it was, it was very cool.
I think the proposed event will be too close to the Portable Vagina Expo in the Ontario (aka middle of the fucking desert), CA. I was so exhausted after that, mostly from the fake smiling.

I think the first of your shows that I heard were when Norm had just started (and people were cuntplaining that they didn’t get him) and Mr Zeeche was singing “on the road with a lesbian”. To me, these contributors are just like Joanna Newsom, etc – it’s stuff you don’t hear normally, but it’s so good. Same goes for all the David Cerda stuff.

I think you confused the Vloggies with the Winnies. The winnies is really more of a parody of an awards show– where every blogger that shows up gets and gives an “award” most of which will be the rcycled tropheys from last years vloggies. It’s not really an awards show as much as it is making fun of award shows. And yes Irina is putting together this event. You should go, you would probably dig it.

the person i am interviewing is Jane Siberry, who is now known as Issa. She left warner brothers a few years ago and went on her own a few years ago. You will love her philosophy because hshe was one of the first artists to do the pay as you wish thing for her music, way before Radiohead.

Wonderful rant. Adam Curry is not right when he says all we want it “cunt, cunt, cunt” rather it’s when you blurt out a stream of consciousness like this. I don’t know you you do it having to keep up both sides of the conversation but I’ve always admired that about you Madge.
Also, Norm is great. I’m glad he’s back.
