AuntieVeraCharles said that he and his partner are registered domestic partners in California, but he doesn’t vote. I hope he decides to vote if one or both of the initiatives now being circulated for signatures end up on the California ballot this fall. Both are constitutional amendments to ban marriage equality for same-sex couples. One of them would even repeal all domestic partner rights. Since these are constitutional amendments, the legislature would be powerless correct this injustice, and the courts would have limited authority in this matter. I like Auntie Vera! She’s very Wanda Wisdom, in that sweet, slightly retarded old queen way. But I want to hear all her different voices, we only got to hear her do a black man’s voice and it was really hilarious. But like Mark I do miss Cheryl but I love Chris Weagel as not only your producer but coming in on discussions, he’s very passionate and interesting.

I actually think it would be better if she got a Madge discounted GoDaddy domain and then she could say something snappy like “auntieveracharles.com”, redirect that to Podshow and not worry too much about the feed. Or, if she wants a decent blog, instead of the Podshow built-in thing, get in touch with Andy Melton, who LOVES creating themes for WordPress blogs and dealing with demented podcasters, all for a small fee of course.
Auntie Vera was a good guest. I especially like how he doesn’t say “lovies” 20 million times on your show.
Vera’s twisted logic is retarded. Being an active citizen doesn’t just entail voting once every year or two. If you’re too lazy to vote and would rather just sit around watching “The View” just come out and say so.
